Breakfast Tuesdays, 8-9am PST: Tea Reverend D
Let’s get together for connection, community as we get to know one another, talk about how our UU Faith relates to current events, explore theology and even what is a minister and how can having one benefit me. Please join me on Tuesdays from 8-9am PST. Bring your breakfast, grab a cup of tea or coffee if you like. Rev. Denise will facilitate the gathering. We have a new minister and this will be a way of getting to know her and talking about how the Fellowship can grow. All members and friends are invited. Pending current events may change the topics but this is the schedule of topics:
Tuesday Sept, 22: What is a Minister? What do ministers do besides preach? What goes into a sermon or pastoral care? Let’s talk about how ministers can help and how they are different from friends or therapists. How do you even become a minister in the UU faith?
Tuesday Sept 29: Words we love to hate – Do words like God, Worship, Blessing or Prayer make you curious or upset. Let’s chat about those words together.
Tuesday October 6: Non-partisan talk about voting, the upcoming national election from a UU perspective. How can PUUF help get out the vote?
Tuesday October 13: Columbus Day – Are we in relationship with Indigenous people? What might that look like? How do we reconcile with Colonial history as UU people.
Tuesday October 20: Question box – submit your questions ahead of time, Rev. Denise will answer a variety of topics. To submit a question email Rev. Denise at pastor@pacuuf.org
As before, Zoom connection details will come out with the Newsletter each week.
