We live in an increasingly polarized world – politically, culturally, intellectually, and even spiritually. We’re told “tolerance” for one another can helps us bridge the differences c and divides that exist between us, but how does this work? Are we simply supposed to tolerate intolerance we observe in others? How are we recognize and check intolerance in ourselves? Is there such a thing as “true” tolerance? How have various wisdom traditions dealt with questions of tolerance before? And, how exactly can tolerance be a spiritual value?
