This week David Delk will speak to us about: Deepening Democracy (vs the developing corporate state).
David is a native Oregonian who is retired after working for private retail business and Public Housing Authority of Portland. He has a BS degree in Sociology from Portland State University. He had hoped to be a high school teacher but due to economic conditions when he graduated, that hope has never been fulfilled. He spends his time now advocating for democracy reforms, promoting limits on campaign contributions, the formation of public banks and other causes to reduce the power of the corporate sector. David is on the board of OR UU Voices for Justice, co-founder of Honest Elections Oregon, Alliance for Democracy, and Move to Amend Portland.
Religious Education is available for the children during the programs. There will be a coffee hour in the “Green Room” after the service.
