Our visiting minister this week is The Rev. Connie Yost: “Hope in a Dark Time”.
In all the loss and grief of this global pandemic, there is an unprecedented opportunity for us to create a world that works for everyone. How can we care for ourselves and turn our anger and grief into compassion to make the change that we want?
The Rev. Connie Yost is an ordained Unitarian Universalist community minister. She has served in community ministry for the last 20 years focused on social justice for the underserved and often invisible and forgotten — poor, immigrant, disabled, very young and elderly. She serves as President of the Board of Farm Worker Ministry Northwest and is on the board of National Farm Worker Ministry. She is the founder of Friends Stay Warm, a nonprofit ministry dedicated to supporting low-wage workers and immigrant detainees through cash assistance and advocacy.
