The Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove‘s sermon title is “On Burdened Wings”. Life and death are intertwined; and when we can accept that, we are able to deal with loss and grief as it comes to us.   This service will explore the challenging topic of death and loss with poetry, reflections and music.

 

Barbara is Co-Minister Emerita of Cedars UU Church, and is now living in Bellingham WA.  She will be joined by her husband, the Rev. Jaco B. ten Hove.

 

The Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove started her ministry at East Shore Unitarian in Bellevue, WA in 1985 and since then has served congregations in Washington, Colorado and Maryland. She and her husband Jaco (who joins her today) recently retired as Emeritus Ministers from Cedars UU Church on Bainbridge Island and are now happily enjoying life in Bellingham. While her focus in ministry was on worship and UU evangelism, in retirement she is exploring art, learning to be a Girl Scout leader and a Hospice volunteer.
