PRIDE Service: Several speakers and singers from Astoria’s Q Center will join Rev. Kit Ketcham and the Pacific Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for a service about challenges to and support for members of the Q community of the Columbia Pacific region. Singing, celebrating, and listening to personal stories from neighbors and friends will highlight the service. All are welcome!
From Kit Ketcham:
“I have a cool video to share for our June 4 news bulletin. Although geared toward children, it is informative for adults who’ve never thought much about drag queens, and I thought it would be helpful in advance of the service, since we will have an actual drag queen (Ginger Vitus aka Josh Conklin) as one of our speakers.

Following the service, we will hold our last monthly potluck lunch until fall. We are not having our June potluck at the Masons. We are joining the Pride folks at Tapiola Park, with potluck dishes in hand, for a picnic with the Q community and friends. It is the closing event of Astoria PRIDE. Hot dogs will be provided by the Q Center with side dishes provided by attendees.
