Lights of the Season
Advent, Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, and Solstice all celebrate lights in this season. We have candles, wreaths, menorah’s calendars as rich symbols to help remind us of all the ways we count time in vibrant rituals. Our worship team will help us explore; how do our Unitarian Universalist principles show up in these festive holidays? Let’s enjoy storytelling and reminders from our religious and cultural heritage. Reverend Denise will help us celebrate one another as lights in our lives and in our community.
Don’t forget to have your own chalice ready to light in this service. We will each be lighting a personal chalice as we celebrate lights of the season. A chalice can be a candle in a bowl, something you make or something you repurpose to be that symbol of the cup of love and light shining for others.
