- Opening Homecoming—Gratitude for Water Service Sunday: Rev. Denise will be leading her first worship service for us Sept. 13. Let us celebrate coming together in a new configuration. As our lives have changed during this pandemic, so must some of our rituals. We cannot meet in person to share the waters of lives, but we can create ritual over and honor water during our service. Join us to express and celebrate the way water enhances our lives as we welcome one another to a new church year.
- We will join Rev. Denise combining with Hillsboro UUCCWC for this service at 10am on September 13, 2020. Here is the link for the service: https://zoom.us/j/4312377276.
- PHOTOS OF WATER YOU APPRECIATE REQUESTED: Waters of the World and Homecoming on September 13: As with so many rituals of our lives, our Water’s of the World service is changing to meet the requirements of our time. This year we will express and celebrate our gratitude for the water in our lives. To enable us to do these, we would like the entire congregation to send pictures of the way water enhances their lives, be it a pot of coffee, a trip to the shore, or some other more unique connection. Pictures can show people or not. If a photo is unique and the connection to water isn’t obvious, please include a brief explanation on how it connects to water and your appreciation for that water.
All photos can be sent to uuccwc.share@gmail.com. (If you are sending more than one, please send them one at a time to ensure they don’t stick in email limbo.) Please send them by September 8!
- SUPPLIES FOR SEPT. 13 WORSHIP: Please have a small bowl and a glass of water handy to enable you to participate actively in the service. Rev. Denise will be leading us through a ritual to honor the ways water blesses our lives.
