Lights for Liberty Vigil on Friday, July 12 at 8 pm

Joining with 600-plus events scheduled worldwide, Indivisible North Coast Oregon is hosting a Lights for Liberty Vigil on Friday, July 12 at 8 pm in front of the Clatsop County Courthouse, 749 Commercial St., Astoria.

Members of the public are encouraged to bring candles and signs demanding an end to human detention camps. A drum circle will be featured at this peaceful vigil that calls for humane and just treatment of refugees and other immigrants.

Lights for Liberty was created by a loose coalition of grassroots activists, including Indivisible, with support from long-standing immigrants’ rights organizations and other organizers.
