Honoring RBG

To all of us shocked and saddened by the light setting on an incredible life, may we take time to hold space for our tears, worries and aches. Make an altar to honor RBG, cast a stone, read poetry or draw for a spell.

We can honor Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg who passed away after a powerful career defending values our UU siblings hold dear. From the inherent worth and dignity of people to how she defended women, children, healthcare and access to vote, she worked tirelessly for causes we care about. In her honor, going door knocking to get out the vote, handwriting post cards, or raising funds for voting access programs, can be taken on in her name. We could donate and work for access to birth control, healthcare for all or other issues that she cared for deeply. These are productive healthy ways to deal with our grief.

Know too that I am saddened by this and I am happy to hold space for us this week if a group of you would like to have a brief ritual in her honor.

Care for yourselves beloveds. 💗❤️ Rev. Denise
