Global Climate Strike Events in Clatsop County

The events listed below are sponsored by Indivisible North Coast Oregon (INCO) and are listed here for informational purposes.

Youth-led Climate Strikes are taking place world-wide on Friday, September 20 and Friday, September 27.

These actions are inspired by the year-long activism of Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg, and students around the world that have been walking out of school every Friday since late 2018.   These students are now asking for help from everyone, of any age, all around the world, to bring attention to the climate crisis.

Indivisible North Coast Oregon (INCO) is coordinating events in support of these strikes in Seaside and Astoria.

  • Global Climate Strike Rally, Friday, September 20, Seaside, OR 
    12:00-1:00 pm, at the Big Orange Chair at the corner of Highway 101 and Broadway.

    Everyone is welcome, and please spread the word among your friends and networks.  We all have to work together.  The climate is changing, and we must act now for a safer and healthier future.  In the words of 16 year-old Greta Thunberg, “Our house is on fire—we should act like it.”
