Why Religious Community?

February 6, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Wildly unpredictable – no doubt that’s how most of us would describe events in our lives and in the world today.  As this pandemic persists into its third year amidst political and social uncertainty, you may not seek escape through the latest Netflix series, but through sustenance that nurtures hope and assurance that we are all in this together.  For many, our religious community offers that sustenance and is the place where we can be reminded of life’s possibilities.

Rev. Carol McKinley is the affiliated community minister at the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation and is a member of the Pacific Northwest Region’s Healthy Congregations Team.

~Open hearts, open minds, room for all theologies, including yours~

During the Omicron surge, we are back to Zoom service only. We are trying to “flatten the curve” to protect our hospitals and the more vulnerable members of our community. There will be no in-person services for a few more weeks, at least.
