Join us in creating community and hearing one another through drum and dance, honoring the authentic traditions of Ghana, Liberia, Guinea, and expat. Africans in America.
Benefit from Amy Beltaine’s 30 years of experience learning, performing, and teaching drum-song from the West African traditions. Drums, Shakers, Bells and other instruments will be provided. Emphasis is put on respecting the cultural context and gratitude for the gift of drumsong.

This three-hour workshop is offered for a sliding scale of $10 – $30. Those who pay at the top end of the scale subsidize attendance for those at the lower end. No one will be turned away for a lack of funds.
A limited number of extra drums will be available, so please bring your own if you have one – and bring some to share if you have ’em!
